The Rockford Fosgate system and I believe also the midline w/ 6CD are pre-wired for XM. This means that there is already a cable w/connector under the driver side dash to plug the Nissan XM receiver into. You need the receiver, a micro magnetic roof mount XM antenna, and perhaps a splitter. The XM receiver used to accept the old style two wire XM antennas, so you needed to use a splitter to work for the modern single wire antennas. Many people put the antenna on the roof through the third brake light. Some people simply place the antenna on the dash.
Here is one place to buy the receiver:

If you have the center console shift (and not the column shift) this is the easiest way to install the XM receiver:

You should be able to install the receiver and antenna by yourself in about an hour. After installation of the Nissan XM receiver, you can use the RADIO button on the dash or the steering wheel controls to select the XM receiver as the music source (you don't need to have a SAT button). If you don't have the receiver installed, you obviously can't select the XM receiver with the RADIO button.
If you prefer to do things the hard way, here are Nissan's XM receiver install instructions:

To install a roof mount antenna, you remove the two plugs in the rear portion of the headliner and use a deep well socket to remove the nuts on the third brake light mounting bolts. I think this socket is 7 or 8 mm. Then you put the magnetic mount antenna on the roof and run the wire through the hole into the cab, under the headliner, over to the rear corner of the cab, down to the floor, forward to under the driver's side dash along the side edge of the floor. I used one popsicle stick to slightly lift the edges of the plastic trim panel while using another popsicle stick to poke the wire under the trim panel. This allows you to tuck the wire safely away, out of sight, w/o removing any plastic trim panels.
You can also use after market XM receivers (Roady, Delphi, Commander) but they will not integrate with OEM N-BUS satellite connector and thus not be controlled by the factory controls. I think wiring through the AUX jack is the best way to connect these, but some people use RF modulators. If you search, you can find where people have mounted these nicely on the dash, and also nicely in the overhead sunglass holder.
