XM Radio Question

I put a XM system in my truck and I used the Aux plug on the face of the factory radio....My problem is that it isn't nearly as loud as the radio on FM or CD. I was wondering if there is something I can do to fix this. Thanks.

You can get a line driver. Either a portable battery powered headphone amplifier or a hard wired amp. Sammysandbag posted a detailed thread with pics of a hard wired PIE amp for the aux jack. I think he was having some noise issues, so you might message him and see if those have been resolved.

I have a Matrix pre-amp from AudioControl between the LOC connected to my RF head unit and my aftermarket amplifiers. The Matrix has three pairs of RCAs in and out with separate gain controls that I use for front, rear and AUX. You wouldn't want to go that way unless you were going aftermarket for speakers & amps.

On the Roady2 you can set the output level. On 9 mine is approx the same level as FM & CD. I don't know about the other XM models. I've seen a number of people buy amps, and not realize the setting was there. I think it's called Audio or Output Level.

Mine didn't come with a remote, but I noticed a remote "eye" on the front. Do they make one for it?

Yup. I got mine at right from the delphi site for $20. The cheap SOB's didn't include a battery<g>. It's a nice small little remote. It's just tough to read the Roady display from 20'<g>.

Here's their link:
