any way to lower the driver's seat??

Being that I am on the tall side (6-4).... I seem to be looking through the dark tinted strip on the windshield, have trouble seeing the gauges with the tilt wheel set where I want it and would really love the seat an inch or two lower and even back an inch or two.... I have a 2005 cc le.... I called one place in town and they basically said forget it.... between the subwoofer beneath the seat and other problems (safety concerns with messing with the seats, etc.) there is really no way possible... I suppose I will just give up on the idea but I thought I would post it here to see if anyone had any ideas... if that seat would just go down a couple inches, especially the back so that I sat lower... It would be just perfect.... any ideas??? btw... it's power/leather/captians chairs, if that makes a difference.... thanks for any ideas....

Yo migt try an upholsrtry shop. A lot of times they have experiance in fabbing mounting brackeys for afternarkt seats. They maybe able to custom make one for the stock seat that fits your needs. By the way, try a diffrent angle for the back of the seat to solve the back an inch problem. I am 6'4" and dont eve have it on the last setting. If I did, my arms would be fully extended with no bend in th elbows.

The shop I called was a seat covering/upohlstry shop... I will likely look investigate further... as for the seat back angle.... these seats seem to have a bit of a flat back. I already feel like it's not really supporting me towards the top of my back, near my shoulder blades... true, if I tilt it back I effectively get my head lower but I feel like I am tipping over backwards. I traded in a 99 f150 that was really loaded with legroom... I am spoiled.. even the new f150's don't have near the room, so I knew I was going to be a bit cramped no matter what I did....

How About A New Windshield With Out The Tint. Most Places Wont Touch A Seat For Liability.

I will swap you my 2004 seat that has probably compressed an inch or two after 15K miles. I am just kidding. I actually have my truck at the dealership today working on my brake judder and my second drivers seat. I asked if I could get the redesigned 2005 seats for my 2004 and the service tech said Nissan would not let them order that. I think that idea of a new windshield would probably be the safest and least expensive. You could just tilt your seat back a little bit as well.

i dont know if this would work, but its an idea, maybe if you took off the seat covers and removed the padding, or w/e is under there and trim it? or replace it with something thinner, but as comfortable, the reason im not sure if it would work is because i dont exactly know how it looks with the seat cover off, maybe you can give it a try, good luck
