I have seen brake painting kits at Napa if you just need the basics.
However, if they are anything like my Camaro, I broke out the dremel and smoothed everything down (casting flash, etc) before painting with two coats of high temp black and two coats of high temp clear. It is the little things that make the end product much nicer.

Oh yeah, mask everything off that you dont want painted. You should be able to find high temp paint and pretty much any automotive store. The paint has held up great on my Camaro through many burnouts and hard braking. I think it is a good cheap mod that really personalizes your ride.

My experience is that these will chip with time no matter how well they're done. I suppose it's one of those things that really needs to be powdercoated like the OEM manufacturers do.
I used the Folia-Tec kit (and a VHT spray on another car), 3 coats on each caliper. Probably 2 months later, they were chipping. Oh BTW this was done on my last Honda.
Good luck and I hope this doens't happen to you!

Has anyone painted their brake calipers and if so what is the best way/ paint etc. Thanks
After I replaced the "faulty OEM front brakes" with the Stillen "big brake kit" (14" front slotted/drilled rotors with red calipers), I had no choice but match the rear calipers by painting them. I used the Pep Boys' "caliper aerosol paint" and they are holding up good. One thing I did extra was to spray brake dust cleaner and scrubbed the calipers with steel brush. Tape and cover all other parts and you'll have a nice set of calipers. So far, 6 months later, they still look like new. Click on my links below for tons of photos.
I used high temp aerosol on my old car. Didn't hold up well. The paint faded, chipped, and wiped off when cleaning with brake cleaner. Now I only use G2 Brake Caliper Paint. It's a 2-part epoxy that resists any type of corrosion, chipping, and fading. It's also designed to be slightly flexible, so that it expands and contracts with the heat-up of the calipers. Doesn't wipe off with brake cleaner either.
I've seen similar items at Pep-Boys, but haven't tried it.

Clean the brake dust of with brake cleaner first and a brush, get all of the dust off. Then I used westleys bleach white cleaner, hosed off and dry. Then I bought Rust Oleum Oil gloss enamel. I have used this for years. I have never had the paint come off and its gloss. Holds up fine to cleaners sprayed on, brake dust does not stick much. I used blue and red and black before with no issue. Yellow is thinner and might not work as well. Blue works great though.

You can also get away with using a plastic shopping bag the paint came in to cover most all of the rotor and related areas and then finish with tape. I have done 20+ cars with this technique and it saves bags of time. I use VHT engine paints-the ceramic paints tends to hold some heat though but it looks stellar.
Ive been thinkin bout painting mine...I have a black trans am WS6 that I pasinted the calipers red and bought some caliper decals that said Trans AM in chrome...it looked awesome...anyone know of decals for our calipers that say Titan?

I used the Folia-Tech (now G2) on my old 200SX. When I sold it they still looked brand new. In the six or so years that the calipers were painted the car has been auto crossed, down the 1320' numerous times, and seen general street abuse and the stuff held up perfectly. I think it all has to do with prep.
