Installing speakers in KC Rear Doors

I am looking for some assistance on what is involved in removing the rear door panels on a Titan King Cab. I have searched for 2 days and have not found the info that I am looking for yet. Closest I have found was info for the CC doors. I am replacing the (2) 6x9s in the front with 6.5" Infinity 6002i speakers and doing the same for the rear doors. I have Dynamat to do all of the doors, behind the rear seat and the headliner. I have found info on "How To" remove the Front Door panels and the Headliner, but not the rear door panels for a KC. Just trying to gather all of the info before I start ripping and tearing... Thanks in advance for any assistance. Dave

Dave,

I just did this on my king cab a few days ago. Follow these steps and you should have no problem.

1. Take the plastic cover off the bottom bolt of the seat belt. Unscrew bolt and remove.

2. Gently remove the bottom portion. All you should have to do is pry it off.

3. Take the sationary piece of the adjustable top seatbelt area and pull off. It will take a bit of fooling around but you'll get it. Be careful not to pull off the middle piece that you pull to adjust the seatbelt area. It is a bit#h to put back on!

4. Remove the bolt from the top seat belt area.

5. Pry off the arm rest/cup holder.

6. There are three screw to take out here. One on each side of the handle and a screw in the cup holder area.

7. The whole piece on the king cab should now be able to pull off. It is kept in place with those push pin things.

The first time may take you 15 min, it will be 5-10 for the other side.

Good luck!

SimplyTitan,

Thank you very much for your prompt and courtious reply. I will be doing this job next week when the rest of my DynaMat arrives. I'll take some pictures of the panel removal, DynaMat install and the speaker replacement. I'll post the pics and results of the whole job once I get it all finished. I am replacing the non RF (midline) 6 disc factory system with a Pioneer Premium DEH-P770MP and a Sirius Tuner. I ordered the Double DIN Bezel and mounting kit and wiring harness from Crutchfield. Got the HU and speakers from Car Toys. Nothing too crazy or expensive, but it should sound a lot better than the OEM crap that Nissan put in these Titans. Might add an Amp and a single 10" Sub later. Not too big into the boom boom stuff, just decent tight sound.

Thanks again for your assistance.
Dave

I found a trick to getting that back on really easy. Take a very small precision screwdriver and lift up the bronze/copper colored lever, while holding the lever up, slide the lip of the middle piece underneath it. Thats it, your done.

The 1st time I tried that I was pissed at how hard it was, then I calmed down and looked at it and its really pretty easy.
