subs under front seat

I saw a custom box on here that fits under the front drivers seat, i was wondering what 12" subs people have been able to install under their seat having enough room. I don't really want to get that shallow sub made by pioneer premier, I was looking for something a little less expensive since this is just an experiment... thanks.

I shipped my RF sub w/ plastic box to somebody from this forum that was working on a project to fit a decent sub under the driver's seat, but I don't know if he had any success.

all shallow subs need large voume boxes to sound optimum ( ie bigger than what you can fit under the front seat

if that is what you want to do (although Id say go under the rear seats)

buy two REaudio 8" woofer and a 400x1 amp- copy Russells 12" box and voila

that was box #1 for me--lol

Well if you decide to go to the 12's, i am in the market for a box for 2 10's. Email me at sbonomo@starlodge.com if you decide to sell it. That goes for anyone else who might have a box laying around.

I can't find the specs, but I believe the Phase Linear Aliante 12 will work in a sealed box around .6-.8 ft^3. Also, the new Blaupunkt Overdrive 12 can work in sealed enclosures down to .5 ft^3, although it would be better at around 1-1.5 ft^3.

the pahse linear aliante will work in 0.7-0.9 depending on if it is the ltd or standard version ( I have the box designs at home if anyone needs them) but they are VEEEERRRRY expensive but I have heard they sound awesome

under the front seat sounds bad anyway no matter what you put under there
because under the seat all the metal springs/slinding rails etc ar not covered with cloth at all and rattle to all hell with subs facing up

Im trying to save you some time and effort lol
