Front components...ID Chameleons or Polk Momos?

Current plans:
Alpine CDA-9833 (22w RMS x4 RMS built-in amplifier)
RF400a4 (50w RMS x4, 4ohm)(100w RMS x4, 2ohm)
RF500a2 (500w RMS)
Audiomobile MASS 12"

I am trying to decide on front components for my future Titan. I have narrowed it down to two sets: the Image Dynamics Chameleons (2ohm models, $310) and the Polk Momos (4ohm models, $255).

My dilemma is what to do.....with the IDs I could run them off the front channels of my RF amp and pull 100 watts a channel at 2ohms and also have the rear channels to upgrade the rear speakers in the future if needed.

With the Polk Momos I could bi-amp the seperates and the tweeter and woofer would be getting about 50w RMS apiece but all channels would be tied up.

Any body have experiences with either of these systems?

I guess what I am essentially asking is......are the rear speakers worth worrying about/replacing?

What would be good rear fill? Can't justify spending $300 for the rear seat passengers.....

I've got the Momo components in mine. It's taken a while to tweak the crossover, but now they really sound strong. Very good mid-bass response. Polk recommends 50W minimum and 150W max. For these to really sing, I would recommend no less than 75W. I've got no experience with the ID line, so I can't really help there. As far as the rear goes, I put the Momo Coax back there (king cab...no components), they sound fantastic, and would do very well with 50W.

Both are good speakers. Going with the ID's will get you more out of your amp. I'd go with a set of lesser coaxials (not stock) in the rear...no need to use the exact same set as the fronts. Maybe you could put some Polks in the rear and satisfy both brands lol.

Do not run anything off the RF amp.

"I could run them off the front channels of my RF amp and pull 100 watts a channel at 2ohms"

ROFLMAO

"and also have the rear channels to upgrade the rear speakers in the future if needed"

Laughing so hard my wife almost called the paramedics.

Best, I think he is refering to the aftermarket RF amp listed in his post...not the stock Rockford foster or whatever it is, and your right, that would be pointless

Yea I know better than that, I am getting a Titan without the RF system. All factory stereos are junk period. For the $1400 you waste on the RF system you could build a nice aftermarket stereo. Just trying to decide on components.
