does any one know about the new alarm systems with the lcd screens ,viper and python both make these systems does any one have an aftermarket alarm, and do you remember how much you payed for
it thanks
there are many remote start alarms with lcd remotes and in all price ranges. clifford, viper, compustar, etc. not sure on the other brands, but directed offers lifetime warranties and they have replaced several of my viper remotes for free; not sure about the clifford since it's the first one i have owned. given the electronics and LCD, you might want to consider this intangible.
Well I love the viper with the remote I was going to get the compustar ss that works on short waves instead of FM but the installer told me to get their FM one cause they have a lot of problems with the other so I went viper instead since it was a little cheaper
I went with the Compustar 2W900FM/AS with a 3000ft range. Its the best remote start and secruity system I've seen yet. The quality in Compustar is second to none but it's very expensive.

I have the viper 791 with the remote start. It works great, awesome range and the lcd is real nice. I got an inside deal on my price but I believe they can be had for around $500 installed.

I have the same one, its great. If you tap on the windshield it pages the remote, pretty neat. I also used 2 of the EXT's to Open and Close my Bedlocker. It is the way to go.

Clifford RSX 3.5 Responder. I like it so far, but it was really expensive for the install. I got the system for 300 with two remotes, but the cheapest install I could get was 400. I do all my own stereo, but I draw the line when it comes to alarm install. I really like the system though.

I just did the Viper 161 series (I think.) No LCD, but not necessary for me. Alarm, remote start and still have the auto window down option from the key FOB, too. Great range on it, too. 1/4 of a mile or so. $350 installed...
