Tinted chrome

Was watching a show on Speed Channel here at work today and they tinted the chrome on a truck using a product from Duplicolor. Looked like it came out pretty good. I think they had a couple of different shades that could be used as well. I think the show was called Truck Revolution or something like that. Just some info that might help someone out.

Thanks StrongBad....I mean Yeti77. Tinted chrome....hmmmmmmm....that would probably look pretty good with Canteen.... Of course, everything looks good on the Canteen!

kind of like black chrome? hmm, i might just buy an emblem and try it out to see how it goes

I saw it on truck universe. The annodized look alike is called smoke. Supposed to create a black chrome effect. It looked good on the show. The paint is dupli-color metalcast but the color "smoke" will not be released until April per Duplicolor. I have always heard nothing sticks to chrome. Duplicolor claims this will up to 500°F. Not sure I believe that, but the chrome steps they tinted on the show really looked good.
