More questions for the audio guru's. I need advice.

I have 2 amps (eD NINe.4 channel - 65 X 4--49amp max draw, eD NINe.1 - 900W @2ohm--130amp max draw). Can I use a distribution block that is 4ga in and 4ga out? Is 8ga too small for the out bound power? If I use a fused block, what should the fuse ratings be? Would I need another inline fuse for each of the amps? What should the fuse rating be at the battery? Each amp has on-board fuses (2X 30amp - 4 channel, 4x 30amp - mono). Is it a good idea to have a digital volt-meter on the power line? OK, I think that's all the questions. BTW current setup is 4gin 2x8g out to a 75X4 amp (actually ~35 X4) and ~200W sub amp. With this I have no dimming of the lights, but the new amps are definitly stronger. Thanks in advance for all the good input.

Ok, since you have a lot of questions I would go here:
http://www.bcae1.com/

On the right side of the page see sections 14 (fuses) and 16 (wire). Scroll to the middle/bottom of each section and there are a number of calculators you can use. Most of the wire information you need is dependant on the amps efficiency and the length of the wire your going to use. Without any calculations my initial guesstamiation would be 4ga for the larger amp and 8 ga for the smaller amp.

1)id say 4ga in 4 ga out is the smallest I would go, unless the 8ga wire runs are very short

the 4 channel is fine but the sub am is pretty powerful

2)100A or 150A at the battery should be fine--thats as large as I would go on 4ga wire

fuse the sub at 80 at the distro and the 4ch 60A at the distro

just my opinion

3) and no you dont NEED a digital voltmeter--although its cool

my distro has it on it (which Im selling by the way --going to run one up front )

it helps to know when you need to turn your car on when tersting your system or showing your friends before your battery drops too low

Yes, bcae1 is a great site. They have a system calculator here:
