5" widescreen in front sunglass holder

I just got the screen today and didn't know if the sunglass holder would close with it in there, but it does. I won't be installing it until I get my back up cam, it's on back order until the end of the month. But here are some pics to show you how it looks.

Great idea, thats the route I was gonna go before I put in the Ddx7015. Should look great when you get it done, I look forward to hearing about your install, and seeing pics.

I 6' 2" and can see over it, but I may still cut the bump off becausse it doesn't have anything to do with the latch. I might cut the box down all around too.

I'm going to go with this camera: http://www.rearviewcamera.net/crv/cr...s&part=PR-500C
I'm going to remove the hitch, mount the camera under the bumper, and reinstall the hitch. It's the smallest Waterproof CCD IR Camera that looked like it might last under the bumper, that I could find.

The small camera under the back of the truck is a great idea! Has anyone tried going wireless to make the install easier? How do these cams really hold up?

I got my screen and installed it. It only took about 1 hour to install.

Got power from the ignition and just mounted the a/v connections box under the dash (zip tied it to another box).

The video/power wire was easy to run but I did remove the A-Pilar cover (no side airbags) and the overhead console.

The screen was temporarly mounted using foam that I cut to make the screen fit snug in the pocket.

The pocket door does close but it takes more pressure than when it was empty to get it to latch.

The wireless camera (now mounted on the back of my 5th wheel trailer) I got off ebay works ok stationary. I have yet to try it moving as I'm waiting for a DC/DC converter to arrive so the camera can be powered off the trailers lights.

Do you have any pics to show us?
I still haven't got my camera yet, and my screen is still in the box.
