Question about mounting 2 single DIN units

I am using the Scosche NN1451B Bezel and DIN adapter. I currently have a Pioneer DEH-P770MP HU mounted in the upper part of the adapter. I would like to add a single DIN DVD player to the lower portion that has the pocket/tray in it now. The lower portion does not look like it is a (full) single DIN opening (height wise). The tray does snap out, but I'm not sure this adapter will allow me to install another single DIN unit in it. Has anyone used this adapter to install (2) single DIN units.

Also looking for suggestions on a good DVD player (single DIN). And a 6" to 6.5" LCD screen that I would like to mount on top where the factory NAV unit would be if I had that option.

Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for the help guys. I guess nobody here has mounted 2 single DIN devices (except for Venom) in our double DIN Bezel opening. I see Venom made his own custom adapter. And before anyone gives a smart remark like "Use the Search Button"... I did. But, I still did not find the answers I was looking for.

Sorry I can't give you specifics, but I did come across one guy that had done what you are wanting to do. I want to say his was a Nav and audio setup, but I just can't remember where I saw it.

You should be able to use the factory brackets and iso mount the units. Use the holes in the side of the cd and dvd player. Most units are actually labeled "N" for nissan, "T" for toyota. After mounted into brackets, screw back into dash then replace dash bezal. Kit will not be needed.

Thank you "04Crew" and "Soonerdude" for replying. I'm sure I will be able to get the DVD (single DIN) player mounted. I was just wondering if anyone had actually done this using the Scosche kit.

Does anyone have any advice on a good quality single DIN DVD player. I have found some that will actually fit "in dash", but most look pretty cheap or they are also radios with built-in amps. Like this unit from Innovatek for $179
http://mp3playerstore.com/stuff_you_...vd/DVD-392.htm

But it has more than I need and the price is VERY cheap, so I wonder about the quality.

They also have a 7" widescreen monitor (display made by Sharp) for $139.
http://mp3playerstore.com/stuff_you_...al/IN-700A.htm

Bundled price is $309. Has anyone used their products? The monitor would probably be OK for where I what to mount it, but the DVD unit is not really what I'm looking for. Just need a decent quality DVD player that will fit "in-dash".

Thanks in advance for any advice.
Dave

I would go to http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2132.html and check out mp3playerstore.com's customer ratings before I bought anything from them. I, too, planned to buy some stuff from them because of their low prices, but I ran across another car audio website where everyone was advising to stay away from them. Then I saw why on the resellerratings site. Horrible...

Wow ! Thanks jc344 for that info on mp3playerstore.com. You just have to know when prices are too good to be true... something is up. So, I guess my search is still on. But I will defintely stay away from them.

Thank you Life_is_Good,

That was the type of info that I was looking for. Your setup looks real nice. I think I would still prefer to go with an in-dash DVD player (without screen) and mount the 7" LCD in the first compartment of the overhead console. I know the flip-up screens are convienent, but for cosmetic reasons I like the monitor overhead.

Again, thank you for replying. Whenever I settle on which in-dash DVD player I get, I'll post some pics.

Dave
