Okay, I've had an NN1451B install kit on order for two weeks now and I've been trying to figure out what the hold up is. The seller keeps telling me they are expecting a shipment, but I'm getting tired of my install being held up over this. So I decided to makes some calls to other online sellers to check their inventory. I got the same answer from all of them; "that item is discontinued, we don't have anymore" Does anybody have an idea of what's going on? Now what are my options for installing an aftermarket HU?
Isn't the metra kit only for those who have the Nissan 2DIN face plate?
I called the seller again and he's saying that they are just selling them too fast for the manufacturer to keep up and it'll be another 1-2week wait. This is getting ridiculous, as my truck has been stripped out for nearly a month and this is the last part I'm waiting on. Even Crutchfield is out of stock on the NN1451B.
Okay, I called Scosche directly to set the record straight. No the kits aren't discontinued, they simply sold out, guess the seller I bought from was right.
That model is for those who have the Nissan double din face plate, another $50 part. I actually managed to find a store that has the Scosche adapter in stock, so I went ahead and got it, as they said it would arrive Saturday or Monday. Hopefully this will be the end of my waiting.
I see what you are saying. The scosche kit come with the Titan faceplate in the kit. Surprisingly the kits are pretty cheap. Wonder how it looks? I am sure you will take picks of the finished product.

Well there are several other's here who have it, and it looks factory. When I talked to Scosche they mentioned that it takes longer to produce these than the normal kits because they have to actually paint the faceplates to match the Nissan dash.

Did you find one locally? If online, where did you order from?

I ordered my Schosche kit from audiooutfitters.com this week and got it yesterday. I only wanted the radio mounting part, I also ordered the factory dash plate from Courtesy and got it yesterday. The schosche dash piece has the hazard light and airbag light in the wrong places. Plus it has the two plugs to cover the rear A/C for the Armada vs the factory dimples that is on the Courtesy kit which I think looks a little better, but I wish it wasn't there at all. The Schosche dash trim plate looks pretty decent but the factory piece looks a little better.
I'm installing my Alpine 9833 this weekend, I'll take pics. I'll have the Schosche dash plate extra if anyone wants to buy it.
Audiooutfitters is out of stock, I just called them earlier today. I found mine at http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=745 and they shipped it today, should be in by Saturday hopefully. The lights are reversed, but doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I'll be sure to post photos when I get it installed.
