hi guys, I'm working on my putting damping on my LE. I know that I won't finish this project in a day so i was wondering if it's really necessary to have the center console on or can I put it on loosely to shift. I'm wanting to work on damping a few hours a day.

Yes you can, I've had mine out for the past month nearly (wating on different parts to come in to finish my install.) You'll be left with a cable to shift gears. Because the transmission is part electronically controlled, you can only shift to P, R, N, D, 3, and 1. Other than that, it works fine.
thanks Sammy. that's exactly what I needed to know. I just finished damping the front passenger door! so the front driver's is the last to go. I have to run speaker wire to all for doors and make baffles.
I'll be doing the floors during and rear firewall during the week.

I've finished the doors and 95% of the back wall. I should get the floors done tomorrow, I spent most of today finishing up the amp rack. It's definately a lot of work, but hopefully the end will justify the means.
please post pics of your amp rack when you can. I have to build mine and also sub boxes.
I hope I can get this stuff back there.
Those are some good amp!!! I wish i had them. Try to mount then behind the seat , or under the seat mounted to the bottom of the seat. You can also try under the driver and passenger seat. Good Luck and post pictures when you are done!!!!
