Anybody purchased a new center channel/storage tray plastic housing?

The trim peice that would be deleted if you got the NAV screen...includes center channel grille. I want to do some custom mounting with that peice and would have to pruchase anotehr if I ever remove what I'm going to do. Anybody know a part number or approximate cost? Does it just pop off with clips?

Well I was at the dealership and they are saying it is part of the dash...I found that very hard to beleive, but I slightly popped off my stereo bezel and sure enough, it seems to be molded into the front of the dash (the plastic directly behind the stereo bezel. Has anybody removed this peice? The whole thing is $150....I wanted to drill into it but now its seeming not worth it. Anybody have experience with replacing or modifying it?

HAHAHHAHA HEE..HEE..HEE yeah you got that right I got a second idea if no help from here take it to like a local audio store and tell them that your audio is fading and ask them to take a look and then ask them if they were replace it becuase of its "fading" how would they take it out that might actually get you your answers without paying anything

Yes, this is the diagram I was looking at. Examining the truck, it seems there should be a part that looks like #13 (shape wise) but that snaps into the TOP of #16. The problem is, in the real world, #16 looks nothing like it does in that diagram. Has anybdoy investigated this?

If you imagine snapping #16 into the dash, and look where it would go, the dash has a half-moon shape cutout, yet #16 is a rectangular shape. LOST!

13 is the gauge cluster dome. the diagram is bad because it specifically shows the nav model. i don't think anything snaps onto 16 - 16 should be the actual piece you are looking for if they had the se/xe diagram. looks like it's gonna cost at least $100.

Thats what I'm gathering as well..but the part still nagging at me is that the dash (and #16) are NOT shaped the way the photo shows...so something is wrong. If you go out and look it is two seperate peices in a half moon shape [like this ( ( ]. #16 is totally rectangular and just doen't look like that in reality. Thats why I was hoping it was possibly a misprint.

The best question is...how do you remove the center channel speaker? If the answer is remove the entire #16 peice, I guess I'm dead in the water. But that sure seems improbable!!

Thats a diagram of a Infiniti QX56 Dash. Center bezels are a bit different than Nissan's.

Thjat could be the missing peice of information....BUT....everywhere I've looked at the Titan diagram its identical to the one posted above (parts counter computers, online parts places, Titan service manual, etc). Are you SURE thats the infiniti dash?

About 95%. Take a look at a Titan dash compared to QX56 dash. You can see it totally fits the QX56. I beleive its labeled wrong.
