Help with components

Please give me your input or experiences with any of the following components (or any others that you like/dislike) that I am considering purchasing. I prefer a soft dome tweeter.....

Considering the following:
Polk Audio Momos
Phoenix Gold Xenons
Image Dynamics Chameleons
Elemental Design

honestly I haven't heard any of them but I have heard from people that the ID Chameleons are very good. If there's a dealer that has them all you should list for yourself.

I have installed components in a number of vehicles and have always managed purchase Polk audio components. The Polk Audio Momos are very nice and detailed, not too bright, and have a pretty good midbase. I loved the Image Dynamics Chamelions I heard as well and would have bought them...if price were not an option. But, as I have stated above I seem to come back to the Polks, they seem to offer the best overall sound quality for the price.

I have two sets of ED components and one 11 KV2 sub. They seem very good to me, but I haven't heard anything else on your list. To try to be more specific, I was amazed by the difference in sound quality of the ED components versus the OEM RF system with respect to clarity on songs featuring female vocalists.

I have both eD and Polk Momo. For the price Polk is good. But I have been very impressed with the sound quality of eD. eD prices are on par with Polk.

I have a question. Are the ED components just re badged CDT's? If so I'd guess that they sound pretty good as well, as I have not heard any CDT comps I didn't like.

Honestly, I think you would be happy with Polk, ED's, or ID's. Just shop around and demo them if you can. We can all contribute our opinions, but everybody has a little bit different hearing and likes/dislikes...just be sure to post pics of the install

The Polks have a 3 year warranty....which is why I will probably go with them. Sounddomain has them for $300 shipped.....is this the best I can do? I avoid the Car audio stealers and do everything online.

Another topic....are the rear speakers best suited for fill? Should I just throw something cheaper in the back doors?

When is that PA Carlysle Show? You can listen to some setup in cars there or go to Tweeters or another major Mobile Audio places and hear for yourself each different component set.

Listen to Eclipse, Diamond Audio M6, D6/D9 ($$$), Iridium DLS ($$$), Rainbow SLCs, etc. There are many more, but not everything that sounds good to someone-else will sound good to you. Polk does have nice midbass.

www.carsatcarlisle.com May 21-22 at the Bryce Jordan Center

Those are all nice component set, however I am not going to be taking this truck to shows or anything and I could find better ways to spend the extra money that I will have buying a set of Polks. I have heard the Polks and I think they sound great. Just being a little too cautious I guess......

Would like to hear a set of Diamond Hexs but there are no Diamond Audio dealers around here.
