I need to call alpine and see how much their Nav CD costs. if it is $300 for the CD Like Eclipse it will not be worth it. The DVD's are also non copyable, so if you get a scratch your out $300!

sounds fishy, if its not a scam you may even get a locked unit, maybe stolen or something with a password, i ran into a problem about a yr ago, when i first bought my excelon i put a pass in and forgot it. my battery died about 2 months later and there i was trying every possible thing i could come up with, i finally remembered it 2 days later. if i could figure it out it was going to cost me about half what i paid for it to get it unlocked.

He says the units are all new and in origional packaging.

He went ahead and gave me some kind of buyer protection from ebay.

I got an email from:
eBay Buyer protection <aw-confirm@ebay.com>
"Subject: Invoice for your purchase

eBay Transaction ECLIPSE AVN2454 GPS NAVIGATION MP3 CAR DVD PLAYER NEW
#XXXXXXX is confirmed!

Current status: Payment pending"

if you go ahead with this transaction...

you are just asking for trouble...

ebay will not protect you one bit if you lose money to this guy...

if he's telling you otherwise, you know its a scam...

yeah you could give him negative feedback, but he'll have your money...fair exchange?

Let me put it in a lingo you're accustomed to:

Back away not today, disco lady!

Heh, any way, sounds fishy, don't chance it...

If you investigate the header information associated with that email, you will no doubt confirm that it is a scam.

scam

This is a 100% scam. Ebay does not guarantee protection. If you doubt it send that protection guarantee to SPOOF@Ebay.com....they will verify whether it is a scam.

Yeah, i'd watch out. I just bought a ps2 and some games off some guy and he never ended up selling it and paypal has only given me back like 2/3 of the money so far because they say his account does not have suffiecient funds to pay me back, of course he doesn't cuz he ripped me off.

I wouldn't go for a Romanian head unit. Everybody knows that the Nigerians have the best deals on head units.

Seriously, go to google and search for: Romania Ebay Scam

I'll investigate the header tomarrow, good idea. Trouble is it on a Sun-Unix system. So I guess I'll have to remember really hard how to do it lol

Check out the new pioneer nav unit. Comes with roof mount GPS, touch screen, dual media slots for DVD/nav CD and music CD at the same time. Looks really good. Once I get my truck this is the unit I want to get. Their other units can even be hooked up to vehicle monitoring systems like temp, pres, speed, tach, boost (if FI). They look really cool.

Pioneer Nav
