Door panel switch/finisher question.

Getting ready to do the soundproofing/speaker gig and I have a question on the panel removal. When my service department went in on my rear panel(two times) each time they trashed the finisher or switch (is the rear all in one?). So they just put in a new one each time. Talked to the tech and he has given up trying to reuse them because they just don't fit in tight again, look loose and had complaints before, so he has the service dept keep them on hand. He advised to just order them, that I would be much happier with the fit/finish. What has everyone else run into when removing the door switch's both front and rear?

I have a KC so I don't have the rear ones but after removing the front door panels and having the switches pop out of the driver's door, I noticed that it doesn't fit as tight as before. The passenger door switches, where I was more careful after doing the driver's side, were never removed from the door and still fit as good as new.

all you have to do is when you pull the door off ( the orange door poppers are all removed)--Start pulling from the top of the panle by the way--and work your way down)

keep the door in your hand propped against the metal, and then remove the tow metal wire rods

then lastly

pop the switch up from the inside

if you push it from the underside it will pop right out ( you may to slightly pull around the square)

that way you dont have to use anything to pry it out

Ahh, I was hoping you could get at them from the inside. Sounds like this should be the last step in pulling the panels and not the first. Also sounds like those that popped the switch from the inside, it was a nice tight fit when reinstalling back in. What a find on TT.
