Re: Infiniti Swap Complete

I love it!! I thought about that idea awhile ago but didn't think that anyone would ever do it! I'm glad you did, your truck kicks ***. If you don't mind me asking how much did the complete mod cost ya?

Re: Infiniti Swap Complete

I'm not a fan of re-badging and haven't cared for the Q's but for some reason I do like this and think that it looks pretty sharp.

Re: Infiniti Swap Complete

It looks bad ***! Looks like you did a great job. I had a GMC Envoy front end conversion on my S10. It's fun when people "rubber neck" on the freeway with a confused look on their face. Your going to run in to a lot of Infinity owners that will be envious. You can tell them that you are the only infinity truck owner around. As for the badging do what you want. I would make it all Infinity badging to really throw people off. Most of all, have fun! Remeber its your truck do what you want!

Re: Infiniti Swap Complete

I have an 04 Nissan Titan and I recently purchased a front clip of an 05 Infiniti Qx56 to do the same conversion. The front end didn't come with a metal bumper cover (the chrome metal piece that covers the bumper and has plastic on either side. I only have the plastic cover for the qx56 and the metal support bars that come off of the frame (same as Titan) to hold the ends up with metal brackets (not like the titan) attached to the end of those. I'm wondering what the Infiniti has that goes right behind their bumper that is different than the Titan? I've been looking for parts and pictures online to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I believe the windshield wiper cowl is different, but I'm not sure and I don't know where to get the parts for that, but I think I have everything else. I can post pictures if necessary. Thanks

Re: Infiniti Swap Complete

OK, I figured out the bumper issue. Still trying to figure out a few things though. The headlights from the infiniti do not hook up to the titan wiring harness. In fact there are a few more wires and the colors do not even seem to be close. Does anyone know the best remedy to this situation? Also, my titan has plugs for the fog lights which I've never used, but I am going to hook them up to the fog lights in the infiniti bumper. Do I also have to put a switch somewhere for them, or how do I turn them on? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Infiniti Swap Complete

This is the first i saw this thread. and that TIFINITY looks like a million bux.
and off topic to awnser AV8OR:
for those tech questions, i would think the best ppl to ask would be the guys in teh garage at the nissan dealership. they werk on infinity/nissans all the time.
im not familiar with it, but i noticed that nobody else has awnsered your questions. this thread was last posted on a year ago (7-06). so i dont think the same guys are keepin an eye for this thread right now.
as for the fog light issue. i added fog lights to a car i had years ago and did not have the "fog light button". and i wanted them to come on with the parking lights anyways. so i just wired them with the parking lights. that way when i switched to the parking lights, the fog lights came on. and then when i switch to full head lights.. they would stay on. not sure how dangerous this was towards the wiring/fuses. but i never had a "fire" issue. lol.
good luck!
