Possible to cut down the overhead console?

OK, my only complaint left about the truck (got the new brake kit - finally!) is the rattle from the overhead console. I have some subs in the back, and when the bass hits, the console doors rattle and sometimes makes it sound like the speakers are bad. I don't use those extra doors, just the front for the sunglasses. Is there a way to cut it and have it look clean? Or, does anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks!

You could always try sealing the doors shut with some glue or caulk. I don't now that you could cut the console and have it look right.

You might also try addiing some felt tape or rubber pads to the back side of the doors, then again duck tape always works.

I don't know about cutting them and making it look clean. You can get some door molding or something and make it so when you close it, it will be tight. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say. You know like the molding that you tape around your door at home.

Remember what ever you do, make it reversable for when you wind up selling it.

I did not do the cuts myself, but the folks over at Sac Valley Sunroofs did the cuts for me. Here are a couple of pics
