Red face Tekonsha Trailer Brake Mount

Does anyone have any good ideas of where to mount a Tekonsha Voyager trailer brake. I really don't want to do any permanent damage to the top of my dash, but on the other hand, I can't find anyplace below my dash to mount it, at least without hitting my lower leg. I have those pain the butt bucket seats with the center console, so there isn't really much space. I'm open for any ideas anybody may have.

I searched around here for "brake controller location" and found where others placed it. I put mine low on the right side. I don't have a problem hitting it and can still view and reach it while driving. I used the U bracket not the pocket one, as the pocket one pushed the whole unit out too much. You also don't want to block the service plug that's down there to the far right.

I used industrial velcro about 2.5" x 3" and mounted mine on the right side bottom of the dash, above my right knee in driving. I didn't want to put holes in anything either, and can also reach it easy while driving yet it is out of the way, and no holes

Hmm. On the lower right side eh! That's kind of where I was looking also but was thinking that mount braket might set it to low. I'll have to look into the industrial strength velcro. That might be the way to go. I'll let you know what I come up with. Thanks for the ideas.

What about inside the center consule? If you can run the wires to there, really depends on your skills I guess. Then it is hidden but you can still get to it.

I have mine to the right of the steering wheel within hand reach and easily seen. I used the U-bracket and set it at an angle of about 50-60 degrees. I drilled two holes in the lower plastic next to the lower steering column ( this is not under the dash area). Sorry I don't have pics, but remember that the unit can be set at an angle of up to 70 degrees. Hopes this helps. I also believe there was a previous thread on this site with pics.

I also used Velcro and mounted in the same location. Out of the way and easy to reach.

I mounted my Prodigy under the dash where it lips over, using the metal U-bracket. I screwed it in because you can't see that part of the truck unless your lying on the floor looking up. In fact, when I got down there to mount it I noticed a pair of screw holes already there that I hadn't seen before. The dealer must have had something mounted there while on the lot.
