First mod!!!! XM....its a start

Hey guys, just had to brag that 2 weeks into ownership and I've made the first mod. Installed a XM Roadie. I really wanted the factory one but I'm not paying $400 for a $99 part just because it has a nissan connector on it. Was going to try splicing into it but hey, the roadies are down to $50 so it was easy....and after all, the Titan is my wife's!

Anyways, super easy, found nice easy access points into the cab and for the first time on any install, didn't run into problems. I haven't hard wired the power or aux inputs, it is 100 degrees after all here, but will be in the near future.

Just wanted to share. Next.....hmmmmm....decisions, decisions.

I got the same thing, and I LOVE IT!!

Radio reception, and stations, really suck around here, so XM was a necessity.

And I see you have the same problem I do-what to do next!! I did Husky floor liners. Next will be seat covers I think, then fog lights...and so on...and so on...

BTW-WELCOME!!

That is so cool. That was my first mod too. '05 Blizzard KC XE with about 400 miles on it. Got XM installed before the factory bug shield even.

Next thing, I think, is black nerf bars and black bed rails. I think that's all I'll do until I decide on aftermarket wheels.

Either way, I love my truck!

I put Commander in within two weeks. The radio is poor at best here also. I got my black nerf bars from a place called popularlink.com by the way Chuck. I am not sure if you want a specific brand or not. I love the ones I got. I will tell you to get new bolts from Lowes or somewhere though. The hardware they sent sux when you put a little kung-fu tightness on it.

In regards to the Roady, where did you run your antenna?

On mine, I mounted just infront of the brake light, down around the rear window down to the frame. Then ran it along the frame rail til up under the front door. There are a few holes that basically just have stickers through them and ran it from there into the cab where another hole right in front of the left foot rest. Under the dash from there. I like going under the truck instead of tucking through the window gasket for fear of leaking.
