Bench and captain's seat similarities?...

Hey guys I went to the dealer today and looked at an LE with captain's chairs, and couldn't help but notice they looked exactly like my bench seat! Has anybody looked into the difference?

For those who don't know the Bench on the Titan is not actually one large seat, it is 3 seperate seats and the driver and passenger's seats are very comfortable bucket-like seats.

I know the Captain's chairs have an armrest and not sure if they have electronic lumbar (on all models?), but the seat structure itself seemed just like my bench.

I was going to get the bench as well but found you didn't have the air vents for the rear, unable to mount the stock DVD and get the shift on the tree versus floor. I do like the fact that you can have another passenger though.

The air vent thing is not that bad. Most of my back seat passengers complain about it being too cold in my truck anyway. I like to drive around in an ICE BOX!

ICE BOX is right! I've heard others stating that they can't get cold air but I can freeze a glass of water in summer!

Same here. My truck stays fire station cold. Plus I don't ride in the back so the vents wern't a factor for me. I preferred the bench seat's height when using the center as an arm rest. The capt's seemed too low for me.

The one thing I do know that is different is that the pasenger seat on a bench seat does NOT fold down like the captain's chair. I thought it would/should as it looks like the same chair - but it doesn't.

The one thing I miss about having the bench seats is that center console that flips up. You can store so many things in there and that keeps the cab clear of clutter. The storage bins above don't serve much purpose to me.
