Burnt out backlight bulb on A/C controls

My Titan is a little over 1 year old and about 20k and I just noticed that the backlight bulb behind the controls for A/C (the three knobs) is burned out. The backlight for the stereo and other stuff is fine and the little bulbs for the A/C on (inside the knob) and the recirc button (again inside the knob) still work.

Has anyone seen this before? How hard are they to replace? I have to take my Titan to the dealer to install my new chromed OEM rims (long story, I will post later) and he said that he would cover under warranty, but I am not sure he fully understood what I was talking about so I need to talk to a real technician. What do you guys think, should it be under warranty?

Should be under warranty if only have 20K miles on it.

Alright, now I feel like a complete jack@*#. How/why did that work? All other lights were already on and the brightness was not all the way down, but I cycled it and it worked like a charm. Go figure.

Thanks, drags, I will shut up and try not to ask stupid questions anymore.

There are many of us with that problem and Nissan isn't brite enough to figure out a fix yet so I just deal with it for now.

Re: Burnt out backlight bulb on A/C controls

I am sure glad I did a search b/c I was about to pull the dash and change out a bulb. It does not take much adjustment towards dim for the AC control lights to go off...

Re: Burnt out backlight bulb on A/C controls

And I know drags had a $hit eat'n grin on his face as he typed that.

Warren I keep my dimmer down low and every time some one new gets in my truck at night they ask the same question.
