Clifford Matrix 3.5 alarm install help

Clifford Matrix 3.5

hi, i cannot get my door unlock to work properly. i know it takes a double pulse unlock which i have set up.

i have the "factory disarm," "unlock," and "2nd unlock" running to the red wire in the door. i have a diode installed on the "factory disarm" and "2nd unlock" with the cathode facing the brain of the alarm. with this setup, i cannot get the doors to unlock.

however, when i disconnect the "factory disarm" wire from the circuit, the 2nd unlock feature (2 button presses) unlocks all doors but the single unlock/disarm will not unlock the driver's door.

how did the guys here that installed their own alarm do it?

figured it out

alright guys... i figured it out.

i hooked up the lock to both the door AND through the 451m relay to control the lock motor. this assured that the dome light would turn off when locked and the lock/arm command would lock the doors everytime since it provided a better ground.

i had no problems with the doors unlocking when connecting it at the door. doing it this way assures that the dome light comes on with diarm/unlock so hooking up the dome supervision option is not required.

hooking up the disarm and the 2nd unlock wire is not needed.

in the future, i plan on using one of the latched outputs to control the tailgate light. i want to be able to hold down one of the outputs for 2 seconds and have that keep the tailgate light on for 30-60 seconds. this will be useful for remotely controlling the light without physically turning on the button or opening a door.

oh yea.. btw... i figured this out the same day that i posted the original question. i didn't want you guys to think i was an idiot and it took me a long time to figure this out. haha.
