CB where mounted and model

Wanting to get a CB in the Titan so when hauling my rig to a trail ride I can keep up with others in the convoy. Anyone have pics of which cb they used and what brand/model it is. I have a cobra 19 but kinda looking for other places to mount them. I have the center console with captains chairs. Also where did you route your coax for the antenna

there is just ain't no good place. the truck is hard to fit more stuff in. I mounted my cobra 29 on the floor, pass. side of the console hump looking up at me by mounting a bracket to the seat bolt that then holds screw that goes into the side of the radio. easy to see, and work with but not really a good solution.

Here's where mine is mounted. Not the best spot, but I got small legs. It's also hard to see but the controls are real simple and I can use it by feel.

I have an SE CC with the center console. I put my old Realistic (nece compact unit) upright in the tray next to the driver's Right Leg. I routed the coax under the mat in the rear and out the bottom of the door. My K-40 is mounted to a screw on the top of the bed divider. I only have the CB in the truck when towing my trailer so it comes out when I remove one screw. I keep the CB from moving around by using some velcro.

Re: CB where mounted and model

I have a Cobra that is all in one, the CB is all in the hand mic. The small unit that the CB plugs into is hidden in the dash. You can also hide a CB in center consol or mount it overhead.

Re: CB where mounted and model

I don't have a CB, but I do use a FM transciever when out at the desert races. I don't like it hanging down from the lower dash or do I like the brackets there...So I fabbed a custom drop in mount that put's the radio in the center console. I don't have my radio there all the time, just when I go out...

Re: CB where mounted and model

I mounted a full size Cobra 29 under my driving seat. I put a couple of brackets on the cb that angles the face up a little and holds it in place on the carpet. Never had a problem. I have memorized the buttons so I can reach down and do any adjustments I need to. I usually keep on ch 19 but I can just count the clicks a go to any channel I need to. I also like the fact that no one can see the cb in the truck. I brought the coax up under the front seat and picked up the power from the console 12v receptacle. I use my tie down clips on the front rail of the bed to mount my antenna. I put a small L- BRACKET off the tie down clip and mounted the antenna to it. Now I can slide the antenna side to side or leave it in the center. The rails are grounded to the bed and my cb works great. I took my cb to a trucker cb shop and they tuned it from 5 watts to over 20 watts for $25.
