DynaMat...question

hey i got a question about DynaMat... if i were to line the entire inside of my truck with dynamat, do you think the exhaust would still be as loud in cabin, i got the banks monster, and its REAALALLLLLLY loud in cabin around 1500 RPMs which is kinda cruise rpms...especially for city driving... i would love an answer quickly because i mean i love it but some of my passengers dont lmfao... it does get annoying some what please help

Re: DynaMat...question

I think you will experience noise reduction. But it will be quite expensive as Dyna-mat isn't an inexpensive product. You might want to try another form of noise reduction material. There are other products that you could use that do as much with fewer $$ spent. Sometimes there are deals on E-Bay and JC Whitney.

Re: DynaMat...question

I think you'll still have the drone. I have 80 sq ft in my truck of a raamatt and it did make a difference.

Re: DynaMat...question

The best way to reduce (note reduce ~ not eliminate) is the put on the Zoomers tip. When I first got my Banks it drove me crazy. It does make a huge difference. Dyanamat though can't hurt but probally won't make a big difference.

Re: DynaMat...question

If trying to reduce the exhaust drone is your only reason for matting, then don't bother. It's made to reduce the resonance of the metal panels from your speakers. Will it reduce road noise? Yes, but not as much as a foam insulation mat or similar. I have 200 sq ft of mat in my truck and it barely made a dent in the exhaust noise, but that's not why I installed it.

Re: DynaMat...question

Dynomat will cut down on it a little bit but not worth the price and work. I would suggest getting a no drone tip from zoomers.

Re: DynaMat...question

Anyone have any opinions on the best bang-for-the-buck sound deadener? I've heard rammat, b-quiet, brown bread, etc.... thoughts?

Re: DynaMat...question

I used b-quiet, which used to make brown bread, now they make b-quiet ultimate and extreme. At the time I was shopping for mat, they had the best price once shipping was figured in. You can find it on ebay.

eDead offered by elemental designs.........best stuff I have used and I have used brown bread, rammat, dynamat, dynamat extreme (expensive!), and cascade. All are below the edesign eDead line. Highly recommended!

Re: DynaMat...question

I second Edead, I have used dynomat, and the stuff from home depot, and prefer edead for the quality and the price.
