So that's what those things are for!

I used to wonder what use I might conjure up for the little tie-down brackets of sorts on the back wall behind my crew cab seats. It finally dawned on me yesterday how best to utilize them.

For those who might be aghast at such an idea, consider using a similar arrangement for your umbrella. But, be careful...those things are pointy on one end.

KAP,

Great Idea. That works all day long! I bought a no-ban M4 about 6 months ago and have never got around to firing it and when the opportunity arises I never have it with me.......Not to mention that It's a nice thing to have if the **** hits the fan in a big way.

Those little plastic balls with elastic cords were purchased at Homo Depot. You can find them most places in the same aisle as the bungees, tarp straps, rope and chain etc.

A little nylon rope cut to length would suffice just as effectively, me thinks.

I like it, too, Maine Titan. It's a Bushmaster, type 97. I've put a few hundred assorted rounds through it and have had no failures to feed, function or fire. It weighs a mere 4.5lbs. including the nifty JPoint micro electronic reflex sight (http://www.jprifles.com/) mounted on top. Accuracy is more than acceptable, as it has already accounted for a few marauding coyotes at ranges out to 90 yards or so. The rifle's brake works fine, no judder or excessive dust, and so far it's differential has yet to clunk or whine.

Should be standard equipment on all trucks...um, the umbrella that is. Have you been putting both 5.56 and .223 rounds through it?
