Well, I have had a small trickle of water that comes in from under the rear headliner, right above the rear sliding window every time it rains or snows. I am taking it to the dealership next Tues. to have them take a look at it. Any ideas? I was thinking that maybe the rear window seal has a small opening. Could it be coming from the roof strip? I know it is not my third brake light b/c I just had that off when I did my Sirius antenna, and I used silicone...plus it was doing it well before that.

I had the same problem with my ’04. My driveway is on a 17 degree incline and I park nose down. During a very hard rain storm the window leaked and stained the seat, which was folded down. The dealer replaced the window and cleaned the seat stain.
"We have never seen this before" is the common theme with this dealership.
Three things to note, the stain is still there and the dealer said I was SOL, the headliner was not installed properly (I fixed it), and the rubber window seal now falls out of place when I hit a bump. The dealer fix to this was to push it back into place. (Just waiting for it to fall out of place which may never happen as the truck has been at the dealer for a week now getting other warranty items fixed.)
Nissan has come out with a TSB to fix this problem if it is a non-powered sliding window they are instructed to drill drain holes in bottom of window frame to allow water to drain to exterior before it rises to a level that it comes through interior portion of window frame

I've got same leak it's not the same as TSB I checked. Tsb is for water sitting in track. This is above window at headliner. If any one gets a good fix from dealer let us know cause and repair. Mine is going in soon but have to pull cap first. Thanks for the link titman.

Well they looked at mine today, and I had to reschedule for a return visit so they can get a window guy there. Ugh...was hoping to be done with it today. I am guessing that the seal either was not sealed properly, or they missed a spot.
So it is going to be day 3 tomorrow that they have had it...does that seem excessive to fix a rear window leak?
My recent experience is, no, it isn't excessive.
They tried to fix mine via the TSB for the 04 slider. Fix didn't work. Had to replace entire window plus do the TSB on the new window per Nissan. It takes at least 24 hours or more for the sealant to cure before they can water test it to make sure there are no more leaks. If there are still leaks, more sealant, another 24 hours for cure and then water test again.
And that's if they get on it immediately after you bring it in and my experience tells me that doesn't happen all that often if the service department is real busy. Let's not even talk about parts availability either.
I would call them and not wait for them to call you to tell you it's ready.

I guess I should not really worry...it was just that I had to call her yesterday and ask if it was ready...then it was like "oh yea forgot about you". Then she said they had the truck apart still..which anyone who is as anal about their truck as I am, worries me...it was the "we had to take more apart" that was the line that got me.

I had the same problem on my 04, they had to have a 3rd party company come and rip out the window, then re-seal it. What sucked was that it started leaking on my trip back from Florida to NY on my vacation..that royally sucked. I had to keep towels in the car to periodically dry the back before it leaked onto anything.
Even though I hated my dealership they did something smart here and actually had ordered another rear window just in case they broke mine taking it out (which they made sound like it was a very good possibility).
Once they fixed it it was fine.

Ugh..now I am pissed..again I had to call the dealership...now they are telling me that when the water tested it there was still some water, and now they have to order a new window!!! I have to tell you, I am no glass guy, but wouldn't some silicone seal it up? There was not a big leak to begin with. I am also pissed b/c we are suppose to get snow this weekend, and I bought a truck so I didn't have to worry about driving in the snow, and this crappy little Cobalt rental isn't going to do sh!t in the snow. I told them I want a 4x4 as a rental then....waiting for the call back.
