GPS Installation

Has anyone installed the bare wire adapter accessory for a handheld GPS to their Titan? I own a Garmin GPS 76CSx and always use the cigarette lighter adapter for external power. Has anyone purchased the barewire adapter and hooked it up to the internal eletrical system without having to run the wires directly to the battery? I also own a Magellan Sport Trak Pro that I hook up to the battery when boating with its adapter. Just wondering, if someone knows how to hook one up to their Titan.

You can tap into any accesories wire under the dash. Use a meter to find a wire that is switch (on only with Ign.) and tap into it.

You can tap in the in-cabin fuse box with a Radio Shack fuse tap or a Littlefuse Mini Blade Add-A-Circuit. Tap a circuit that is switched with the ignition, like the passenger side lighter socket. I think the inside of the fuse box lid is marked IGN to indicate which circuits are switched with the ignition.
