i had my front windows done to perfectly match my rear and right now there at 15%. it sucks though i dont know what im goin to do when i have to get my truck inspected. here in texas the legal limit it 20% on the front ones and the front windshield can only be about 5 inches from the top or at the as1 line which ever is closer.
I have 35% on mine can bearly tell the differance but it works. In calli we cant have tint but its a must now because the sun burns. I dont want to go darker because where i live they are no longer giving fix it tikets for it. Last i heard the ticket was 200

Oaklahoma, I used to live in florida...But on my xterra it was even darker, 20% over the rear factory tint, and 5% up front....I just roll windows down when there is a cop, or open the sunroof to apear it to be lighter...
Here in Va 40% is the limit and nothing is allowed on the windshield. They will pull you and ticket you here if it's less. I however found a loophole in the system and was able to go darker....wink wink.
in florida, there is a form that you can have your doctor or dermatologist sign saying that the sun will give you skin cancer and then submit that form to the state for like $7 bucs and you can get any % of tint anywhere... even on the windshield... for no problems. after you send the form in... the state sends you a little card just in case you get pulled over! How funny is that?! they have a form that you need a doctor to sign saying the sun can give you skin cancer.... what a joke... but hey... its politics... ill be getting my windshield done probably in 50% or higher, just enough to block out some rays but still light enough to see at night... i guess it will also help that i have some seriously bright HIDs!!
