AC Dash Control Unit Knobs

Has anyone had to replace the knobs on the AC dash unit of a 2004 Titan. Dealer says you must purchase entire unit ($200) just to replace the inner knob on the fan control switch.

I have not had to but I'm wondering if by replacing this with the new 2006+ kit if the AC will atualy shut off after you turn the defroster off.

I know on 04-05 once you turn the defroster on the AC is locked on, even though the AC light shuts off..

There was a company here a while ago that sold billet aluminum polished hvac replacment knobs.

I had to have mine replace and yes they told me it was all one unit behind the controls. If something stopped working the the unit gets replaced if its just a knob I am not sure. my fan control stopped working and i paid $358ttl.

I have the same problem with my AC contro knobs. My fan will only operate in the second speed selection as the knob does not select other fan settings.

Anyone know where I can purchase the AC control assembly?

If you are under 36K then it should be replaced by the dealer. If over try a junk yard for the cheapest route but here is a link any way for the part.
