headlight control on turn signal

I am going to figure out a way to make it harder to turn my headlights on.
Sometimes while using my turn signals at night my hand turns the headlight switch also. Bad design. It's especially a bummer around dusk when they get shut off only to the parking lights and you think your headlights are still on. Anyone else have these same symptoms?

Re: headlight control on turn signal

That never happened to me. How does just pushing up and down twist the lever and turn the lights off or on? I just bump the signal up or down with the side of my finger or thumb, never actually grab it.

Now that I think about it, it's only on left turns. When you hit it down it twists the headlight switch only sometimes. I'm sure everybody operates their turn signals the same way, just a tap up or down. I have a 2004 maybe nissan tightened up on those later on.

Re: headlight control on turn signal

Could be. I've never experienced this in my '06. Now, I have flipped them to hi-beam a few times while trying to flip the handle up for a right turn, but never turned them off...

Re: headlight control on turn signal

Maybe the O-ring thing is the fix?

Lights turn off while turning brights on/off

Re: headlight control on turn signal

I don't have this prob with my 06, however, I have the normal position (behind the steering wheel)gear selector and I tend to use my windshield wipers on dry sunny days more often than rainy days....
