You could add a dash carpet to cover it up...then it makes a fine hiding place for a _____

easier way of doing this is clicking on the post itself. It opens a new window for that post only. You can then copy the link and paste in here.

that'd be cool. how would you anchor it? i have two little scorpions a friend made for me out of copper wire that are sitting in that spot, but they move around a bit when i drive crazy. ...i need to hang them from the rearview like in my last car, just too lazy lately.

Get a cell phone "sticky mat" from an auto parts store and trim it to fit in the tray. They should stay put.

both great ideas. for me, i really do want to hang them from the rearview, so one of these days i'll get on that.

i've also thought about the same space to the left of the steering wheel. currently i just throw spare change there, but i'd like to somehow fill it up and attach a sort of "dock" to hold my big ol' cell phone. dunno what to use tho~plaster of paris? any ideas?
currently the phone sits in one of those vent attachments, to the right of my steering wheel.
