radars and tint
ok i have my windshield fully tinted and i have heard that not all radars/laser detectors work through the tinted glass can any one clear this up thanks

It would probably cut the range down a little but should still work.

its not too bad i have double 20% on sides and 20% on the front what sucked was about a week after i got my truck a rock hit my windshield when i got it replaced it was like looking out of a cave its funny thats the only time i could not see out of the other windows ha

20% is pretty dark.
anyways the material in the tint is a factor too. if it has metallic in there it could degrade it. laser will prob make a reduction no matter what.

It's my observation that most people do not tint their windshield.
That may be why there are not a lot of replies.

I have never even heard of anyone tinting thier windshield. I think it's illegal in most states!

Some of the tint guys I know put 50 on their windshield and then put a 5 strip across the top of it so you cannot tell the entire windshield is tinted, it helps reduce glare from the sun, headlights, etc..
No need for sunglasses

i have enough tickets to know that it is illegal i just hate for people to look into my truck i was trying to see which one to buy since no one seems to know if they work with it or not i dont want to waste $500 and it not work
