How to adjust armrest/ possible?

Is it poss to move the armrest? Since I picked it up, when I put the armrest down it goes too far, almost between seat and console(much further than the passanger side). I was wondering if I could easily fix/move it. I don't want to have to take it to the dealer just for this. Thanks Joe

Re: How to adjust armrest/ possible?

I'd like to know how to adjust it also, if possible. My driver seat armrest sits lower than it used to. But since it's an '04 it's probably just "wear and tear". Still would like to know if it's adjustable.

Re: How to adjust armrest/ possible?

There's no adjustment on the arms to bring them up. If you pull off the cap on the side (it pops off pretty easily) you can easily see the "mechanism" that they rotate on. I'm not sure how you'd limit the downward movement though.

Check these threads:

Armrest on captains chair

driver arm rest

As Carbo said, pop the cap. There's a 13mm bolt in there loosen it and maybe you can reset the swing stop plate to the right angle. Give it a go. Good luck!

Re: How to adjust armrest/ possible?

From the picture of one of the threads listed, it looks like if you fabricated a sliding bracket that follows the curvature of the slot and using some set screws, you can give yourself some of the adjustability you are looking for. Here is a crude MSpaint drawing of what I am talking about.

Re: How to adjust armrest/ possible?

All I did was leaned the seat back just a tad more and that in itself made the armrest in better position.
