Can anyone confirm which cable is the speed sensor for the factory navigation system? I would like my wife to be able to use ALL the navigation function when the vehicle is moving. I've seen the navagition hack link, but connector look different from mine. 2004 LE.
I would think that the navigation system would no longer chart your mpg correctly if you disconnect the speed sensor. There are also a number of items on the other screens that deal with speed.
However, if you find that disconnecting it does not cause any issues, let us know and I will do the exact same thing. I hate that stupid lockout as much as I hate having to hit the button every time I start the truck. Talk about a stupid rule that the damn lawyers concocted.

That's why a rocker switch is put in line. Once destination is enter, flip the switch to close the circuit. With the wire interrupted, the position on the vehicle will be off since it cannot detect your speed.
As for not having to hit the button everytime the truck is started, www.kptechnologies.com has an over ride module for it.
If you do, please take pictures as you go and write up a post on it. I have no idea how I would add something like that so any details and photos would go a long way towards helping.

Man, it's just become a habbit for me to hit the "Enter" button when I start the truck so I'm not even worried about that issue. But I think I would like to bypass the lockout override cuz it does suck to have to stop and enter data in.
