Aftermarket Sunroofs?

Ive been looking into getting an aftermarket sunroof put in on my 06 KC LE. Unfortunately a sun roof is not an option with from the factory with the KC, and would really like to put one in. If you have done one please post pics and let me know how you like it(any problems? rattles? leaks?). I was maybe looking at one of those ragtop ones too, try to open up most of the roof, might be pretty cool.

This member has a CC, but he's done a pretty crazy roof mod. I'll PM him a heads up and see if he'll chime in.

I don't have any pics for you. But I do know that Webasto has a line called the Hollandia 400 series. The KC roof should be big enough for it. www.webasto.com

yep me. it's webasto panoramic. no leaks. pretty cool set up. i get a lot of attention at meets. It's pretty big so I don't know if it will fit in a KC. You would have to measure the roofs to compare.

here's pics

Re: Aftermarket Sunroofs?

rcantu that sunroof is sick!!!!!!!!! if you dont mind me asking, about how much would one of those run installed? also which model do you have? I would guess that ones a little too long for the KC, but maybe a smaller one by that company would fit. thanks for the info

Re: Aftermarket Sunroofs?

thanks. i got a really really good deal. I'd say a place would charge you around $1600-1700.

webasto makes the opaque skyroof for the Maybach car by Mercedes so it's good stuff.

oh rcantu i wanted to ask you: what kind of dealers sell webasto? is it specifically a webasto shop, or do certain tint shops/glass shops install webasto?

Re: Aftermarket Sunroofs?

I'm getting a sunroof in my Armada as we speak. They offer a lifetime warranty on them now. I think they are a different quality from the sunroofs in the past. The thing is big and expensive though. total is right at $1400 for mine.
