Underside of the Center Console Lid?

I've noticed a molded affair that looks like it's designed to hold something on the underside of my center console lid. What is it?

Add Sunglasses in the old style case. Also used it to hold a cell phone.

Re: Underside of the Center Console Lid?

From another thread someone used this clip to store a box of Altoid mints.

Re: Underside of the Center Console Lid?

holds the remote control for the flux capacitor.

I don't think anyone has discovered what it was originally intended for.

I like the kleenex Idea though.

Re: Underside of the Center Console Lid?

It was designed for a the soft packs of kleenex or the DVD remote (at least our old sales manuals told us this for sales tips when doing vehicle presentations). Mine holds a mini bottle of hand sanitizer or two mini bottles of vodka (same thing).

Re: Underside of the Center Console Lid?

I was told it was for the DVD remote as well, but the remote doesn't fit?! I guess you could cram the remote in there, but it seems like that would mess up the buttons.

Re: Underside of the Center Console Lid?

I read somewhere in the owner's documentation that the underside of the lid was molded to hold a pen and a small tissue pack.
