Anyone ever installed power locks or power windows on a XE before? I found some on ebay, but wanted to get some feedback on how they are first. Thanks.

Re: Power windows and Locks

For window go with SPAL kit, for door lock make sure it's for "cable" system and not "rod".

i got my spal kit on ebay for $60.00. no switches though, works awesome and easy to install. im using the omega industries door lock actuators just because they are very compact.

Re: Power windows and Locks

Go to A1electric.com...great stuff, SPAL(deluxe), switches and MES central locks. I did it to mine, works great. I did keyless entry, windows/locks, switches and installed all on my own. My first keyless/power conversion, but I have mucho expirience with cars/electronics. Customer service (guy's name was Art) was great!

Re: Power windows and Locks

do they give you any kind of plugs or something to cover up the hole from your manual crank for the window? Also can you give me the model number of the door locks and power windows kit you have?

Re: Power windows and Locks

They do give plugs to cover crank holes w/kit. It's a universal job..
Locks - W01C-K (for cable locks)
Windows - 3300-0030 (Spal deluxe)

Re: Power windows and Locks

I have the SPAL kit in my 05' XE and have been very very happy with it. They even installed the factory looking switches for me and total cost was under $300.

Re: Power windows and Locks

Did the spal kit on my wife's rig and she thinks it's great but I think it is super slow...at least slower than my other truck.

Re: Power windows and Locks

I had mine installed here in louisville, KY at Auto One. I believe it is a local aftermarket shop but it could be national. I think they are just a little slow but that Titans have HUGE windows. So it's not that bad and the motors don't seem to be working that hard at all. The installers said that is the only kit they will install because of the quality and the warranty.

Re: Power windows and Locks

how difficult is it to install the power window kits (SPAL DELUXE) and door locks (MES)? I ahve installed a lot of Car Audio but have never messed with door locks. Are the switch kits just made to cut into the switch panel?

Re: Power windows and Locks

I switched to both power windows and door locks on my 07 KC XE. The only problem with the windows so far, aftermarket, and go up way to slow. Also my driver side door lock is starting to lock up because the way the splice the wire in the door is getting caught and won't lock sometimes. Other than that no probs.
