Pillar mount gauge cluster screws....WTH???

Has anyone installed theirs yet? I was test fitting mine today and noticed the supplied screws didn't catch in the hole it was meant to. And the bottom hole/screw doesnt line up with anything. So the bottom one i can mark and drill, however the top one is supposed to go in the factory handle screw hole. Is it just too small of a diameter fastener or what?

Re: Pillar mount gauge cluster screws....WTH???

The Gauge cluster is an overlay, and screws into the OEM Pillar. That is how mine worked out. I discovered this by calling Kronos1965 and discussing it. His test fit was not done in this manner, but it is inferred in some post somewhere. He knew what the screw was for, and it worked that way. The fit was better by doing it as an overlay. I like it.

Should I feel like an idiot now? Doh!

That makes much more sense. For two reasons. 1.) Obviously the fasteners & 2.) I noticed the edges weren't exact.

Thanks TitanBlue.
