Titan Manual

Anyone purchased a 2004 factory manual used by dealers? EBay offers great prices for CD versions but I'm really not sure how good they really are. I would like to get a hardbook copy so that I can do my own modifications of the interior and whatever else without having to pay someone else, like the dealers. The cost of labor is way too high and there have been times when my vehicle has sat for an hour waiting to get service only to have things done in two hours but charged always for the additional hour it sat. Too many disputes. Any recommendations from the experts who purchased a manual for their Titan?

Re: Titan Manual

This is what I and a few others here have done. Go to this website:

http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/nissan/

Create an account and go to view online subscription details. There is an option for a one day subscription (cost is $20).

Basically, select this option and you can 'view' the service manual for any Nissan you want, including your 2004 Titan. The loophole here is that you are also able to save each section of the manual to your computer. You need to save each section individually so be prepared to devote some time to it, but it's not that bad. The plus is you will have the complete service manual which you can save to CD, print out, do whatever with for $20 as opposed to $200 or more for a hardcopy. I usually just print out the section I'm interested in at the moment when I need it and that works well for me. This is probably your cheapest option IMO for a factory certified manual. Good Luck!

Re: Titan Manual

I downloaded a version online to my computer from the internet. Mine works fine and it has helped me out several times. I recommend any owner looking into one regardless of the method. I dont think you really want a printed copy of the manual. That would be freaking huge and cumbersome.

Re: Titan Manual

I bought one on eBay a while ago and it is VERY handy. It's not just a compilation, it's actually indexed with direct links in each category. Just click on any green bold word or phrase and it reconnects you to that topic. It's one of the nicest CD/Manuals I've ever had and super easy to navigate. I'd highly recommend it. That way you don't have to manually search stuff, you can just click and run! Not to mention, it's for '04, '05, and '06 trucks and cost around $12. With shipping, still cheaper than the one linked above.

Re: Titan Manual

I had to use IE6, not IE7, to download mine.
