I'm thinking of finally doing this and wondering if anyone has tried an '08 yet? They have that dumb orange ring around them but I'm not sure if it is the color of the LEDs or just a film or something.

I think the rings are cast in Orange plastic. If I am right, you will not be able to change them to blue but if you go red it should shine through. You can change the LCD backlight to anything you want though.

Yeah I looked a little better and noticed they appear to be actual orange plastic. Oh well. Maybe I'll try it anyways.

I just re-did my A/c because the blue was too distracting. I made it white to match my outer gauges and I like it a whole lot more! Check it out.

Anyone in vancouver, BC that would be interested in doing this for me ? I so would take it apart and just freak and leave it out and drive my wifes car LOL
