Re: what gps

i picked up a garmin 200w in february. i travel, alot. and it always goes with me. it has been excellent all over the US so far in various rentals. the only city that i have been to where it had a problem was charleston, SC. so if you live in charleston, be sure to get the updated maps.

otherwise, when i am in my titan i used the sticky dash mount and put some extra 3m doublesided tape to mount it on the pillar just above the driver side tweeter. this way it doesn't block my view and the passenger isn't so inclined to constantly mess with it. also, it's closer to you (the driver) so its easier to use and easier to hear.

for power i just plugged in the dc adapter and snaked the wire underneath the dash and up the side of it behind the plastic. looks pretty good IMO. also with the garmin it uses the same charger (5 VDC) as alot of cell phones on the market, so i also use my house charger for my cell phone to charge my garmin so i am not constantly lugging chargers around with me.

Re: what gps

Ordered a Garmin Nuvi 200 today. My brother already has one and loves it, so that's what I went with. Not to bad $$ either. $160 delivered.
