nor would I... unless strictly for transport purposes... I keep mine on me or in the center floor console within quick reach... If I leave my ride for any length of time, my piece goes with me... however, this is an awesome idea and modification, "I like it!"

You hit the nail on the head..... Worst weapon to have is the one you can't get to when you need it.

I think it's a cool idea. There have times that I didnt feel safe just leaving my weapon or some loose articles laying out in my truck for anyone to see. At least this acts as a deterrent to thieves. The weight of the safe would be my only complain.

They are only like 25-30 lbs. It's probably no more weight than a student with a backpack of schoolbooks in their truck.
