Wrapping the Headliner?

Anyone rewrapped their headliner? Was thinking about redoing it in a charcoal or black maybe suede or something close to the seats. Any input?

Re: Wrapping the Headliner?

I have never done a Titan headliner. I have done them before though. When you strip the old fabric off, make sure you clean all the foam looking stuff off of the board. That stuff has to be off or the new won't stick very well. I think we used some scotch brite pads to clean it with. Make sure you follow the directions for the spray glue. Use two people to help apply the new fabric. It really is not all that hard to do.

Good luck!

Re: Wrapping the Headliner?

Titans don't have the foam backing headliner. I would just cover the old one and use an automotive grade adhesive. Our local supplier here in NC sells one made by DAP and its sprayed on.

Re: Wrapping the Headliner?

^^^^ what he said. Dont take anything off.

In my wrx it had the same kind of headliner the titan had. I had a hot rod interior upholstery shop cover it in carbon fiber vinyl. Paid $75 for labor. Looked amazing and money well spent. I personally wouldnt recommend ever doing it unless youve done it before.

When you're doing corners and angles you have to make all these cuts and triangles to pick up slack in the fabric. When they did mine it have over 250 of these cuts and what not.

Peyton, lemme know if you find a place. or do it yourself...maybe we can get a deal on 2!

http://www.euro-leatherinc.com/Carbon_Fiber.htm stuff like that is what i used. but not from there.
