Removing factory wood dash kit

I bought a new Titan and I dislike the factory wood dash kit. Some like it, I don't. I want to replace the large piece that surrounds the radio and heater/ac controls, and the piece around the shifter. Anybody have any tips on removing these pieces?

I would say heat it with a heat gun, be warn you do not know what the condition is under there.
Best thing is to buy a new piece and sell the existing piece you have or find someone willing to swap with you
