So I have been looking for an interior switch to run my aftermarket fog lights and have not find one so far.
I was bored one night and decided to remove the blanks that are on the dash beside the steering wheel and see what I could do with them.
I took the switch that came with my fog lights and made a mark on it and cut it out with my dremmel tool. I had to use the wire wheel attachhment to clean the support fins out of the back side of it. After that I was able to put the switch in that came with the fog lights. As you can see from the pics they don't actually look that bad. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Well you came to the same conclusion a lot of us have. After i did the same thing you did, i wanted to buy a few of those blanks if i ever decided to remove the switch or sell the truck. I came upon an OEM switch for fog lights from Nissan that fits perfect. Still bought a few blanks, but the switch would have helped tremendously if i had known about it before hand.

That is interesting... When I talked to my dealer about the switches he told me that they did carry anything like that. Go figure... Same people that told me that battery acid on top of the battery was "Normal". Already replaced all of the connectors and the battery due to battery acid corrosion.

I did something similar but kept my blank slot in case I do something different in the future....
I took a piece of black plastic that came with my took box organizer and cut a plate to cover the hole. I used the switch that came with my Hella's and screwed it all together... looks OK for now and works great... I do not have any pics of it yet but will have to get some now!
thats sick. looks like a NOS switch.. are the wires coming from the engine bay?
if so how hard was install
thanks!
wasn'thard at all, I came on here and got help finding a hole in the firewall. Theres one with a plug in it behind the barake under the carpet. puked a hole ran the wire filled it with silicone called it a day.
For the switch it was a matter of pulling the console, then the bezel ( which also made my airbag light come on) then the same thing with the blank drill put the switch on run the wires. it's' just a toggle switch with the spiffy cover lol
Hahaha thanks buddy...i wanna get a push button for my left hand steering wheel thingy (where the steering wheel audio controls would go) and maybe hook up a buck 20 shot of nitrous or maybe used as umthin...i dunno hahaha
