To swap out the bucket seats and center console from my SE crew Off Road Big Tow with a bench seat from a similar truck.

I know I may have to modify the gated shifter box.

The issue is this. I love my truck!!!
When I bought it I had 3 children, one wife.
Now I have 4 children, same wife.

I wanted the shifter on the floor, not the column when I bought the truck.

FWIW I did search the forum, I just didn't find the data I wanted.
All intel is appreciated!

Its doable, hard, but doable
The floor shifter doesnt actually shift straight in the tranny,
I beleive it senses where you put the handle and it sends a signal to shift the actually tranny

it could be done but it would be a major PITA - new steering columns too - IMO after all the work and expense you'd be better off just trading trucks (if your loan to value is equal or better)

There is a heavy duty cable housing that follows the right side of the floor console. I am pretty sure this leads to the tranny.

I've had my center console out of my 04 with the captains chairs, there is a heavy duty cable that runs out the cab and down to the tranny, the shifter for the bench seat runs down the dash and out pretty much the same place. The only electronic part of the shifter is the locking solenoid that acts as the safety to keep from shifting out of park without your foot on the break. I'm pretty sure it would be a giant pain in the rear!!
