Is their an advantage to mounting the amp on the ceiling? Why not mount it under the seat like most others? If you mount speakers in the ceiling could you get a surround sound effect?
i saw a picture of a titan with a checkered headliner...
there was much speculation as to what the finish material was however... some one may be able to produce the pic.. may have been in a pre-runner thread
okay i found a thread and some pics bout amp in headliner .. i think there was something about fiber glassing it but the thread is from 07 Amp mounted in the headliner - V6F150.com

It will look cool probably, but you need to make sure there will be some ventillation. Those amps mounted on the headliner and enclosed in plexi and surrounded by hot fabric looks like a failure waiting to happen. But then if you dont cover them you will be getting heat all on the top of your head constantly. Will be curious to see how this is handled. Good luck.
Don't make sense to mount an amp on your headliner. Like everyone is saying, it's going to over heat and could fall hurting u or ur family and friends. Also, the car u say at the car show doesn't drive around as much as we or u do. That's a show car and show cars are garage kept, so he doesn't have the same prolbem as you would have since it's not used as often. To be very honest, u'll be wasting money and time doing that, after a month or two ur going to want to remove the amps. Think about safety bro. Could be a fire hazard inside ur truck. If u decide to do it, its ur truck and its ur choice, just lending some advice. It might look sick, but not worth it. Just save u some money and mount the amps under ur front seats. Best way to do it.
